Industrial Rotary Fertilizer Cooling Machine – YXLQ-1812 Model | 4-6t/h Capacity

The Yuxing YXLQ-1812 provides reliable thermal management for global granular fertilizer plants. Our model achieves 4-6t/h throughput with an 18-meter processing chamber and precision 3-5° inclination engineering after 20 years of industry expertise. The machine rapidly lowers post-dryer granule temperatures from 65-85°C to below 40°C, eliminating caking and moisture reabsorption.

An efficient 18kW motor and 1.2m drum designed for counter-current airflow make the YXLQ-1812 compatible with NPK, organic, and compound fertilizer lines. Our engineers provide CE/ISO-certified equipment and 24/7 technical assistance for plant layout design, commissioning, and spare parts supply to clients in over 50 countries.

How It Works: Counter-Current Heat Exchange Technology

Our product uses superior thermo-mechanical engineering. The gently revolving drum at a 3-5° inclination receives hot granules from the high feed end.

Materials are lifted and cascaded by high-efficiency inner wall lifting flights. This homogeneous "curtain effect" maximizes cooling air exposure to surface area.

An induced draft fan draws ambient air from the discharge end, counter-currently against the material stream. The warmest air absorbs heat from approaching hot particles while the coldest air meets the coolest granules in this counter-current configuration to maximize thermal gradient efficiency.

Evaporative cooling lowers temperature and eliminates 0.5-1.5% moisture from grains in the drum for 15-25 minutes. The lower discharge end releases the cooled product for coating, bagging, or bulk storage without condensation or chemical damage.

Core Technical Advantages & Engineering Features

Temperature Control Precision

Our drum shape and flight design maintain dwell time. Hot spots that lower product quality are eliminated by chilling each granule equally.

Strong mechanical durability

Supporting rollers are HRC 45-50 hardened to prevent pitting. The precision-machined girth gear and pinion system operates 24/7 with vibration and noise below 85dB.

Construction that resists corrosion

Choose high-carbon steel for conventional applications or 304/316L stainless steel for harsh chemicals. Ultrasonic NDT checks all welds for structural integrity during high temperature cycling.

Integrating Dust Management

Cyclone dust collectors and exhaust filtering reduce fine particle emissions and optimize heat transfer airflow.

Adjustable Customization

Voltage adaption (220V-480V, 50/60Hz), Siemens or Schneider PLC controllers, multi-language HMI interfaces, and regional CE compliance packages are available.

Wide-Ranging Industrial Applications

Compound NPK Fertilizer Plants

High-capacity facilities producing 10-20 tons/hour rely on our rotary fertilizer cooling machine to stabilize chemically reactive nitrogen and potassium granules immediately post-drying.

Organic Fertilizer Manufacturing

After granulation of composted manure or bio-waste, rapid cooling preserves microbial activity and prevents moisture-driven decomposition during storage.

Controlled-Release Fertilizer (CRF) Lines

Precision temperature reduction is critical before polymer coating. Excessive heat causes coating defects; our equipment delivers the exact discharge temperature your coating process demands.

Specialty & Blend Fertilizer Operations

Custom formulations containing sulfur, trace elements, or bio-stimulants benefit from gentle, uniform cooling that protects sensitive additives from thermal stress.

Rigorous Quality Control & Factory Testing

Every product is thoroughly inspected before shipping:

Dynamic Balance Test

We provide drum rotation without eccentric oscillation, conserving bearings and prolonging equipment life beyond 15 years.

Checking Gear Mesh Precision

Girth gear alignment ensures smooth engagement and less than 85dB operation noise.

Non-destructive testing

Ultrasonic or radiographic inspection of all important welds detects subsurface faults that might endanger safety.

Trial Runs 48-72 Hours

Machines run constantly at full and no-load. We check bearing temperatures, airflow rates, and discharge temperatures to fulfill design standards.

Verifying Surface Hardness

HRC-tested supporting rollers and tire surfaces prevent wear in abrasive fertilizer conditions.

FAQ

Q1: What cooling medium does the product use?

A: Ambient air is standard. In tropical or coastal regions, we recommend filtered or dehumidified air to prevent moisture transfer that could re-wet granules.

Q2: Can this equipment reduce moisture content as well as temperature?

A: Yes. While primarily a cooler, evaporative cooling typically removes an additional 0.5-1.5% moisture—valuable for stabilizing final product specifications.

Q3: How do you prevent material from sticking inside the drum?

A: We install internal "knockers" or high-molecular-weight polyethylene liners that resist adhesion, especially important for sticky organic formulations.

Q4: Why might my discharge temperature be higher than expected?

A: Common causes include excessive feed rates, insufficient air volume from the induced draft fan, or damaged lifting flights failing to create proper material cascading.

Q5: What routine maintenance do supporting rollers require?

A: Apply high-temperature grease every 500 operating hours and perform alignment checks quarterly. Uneven wear on tire surfaces signals the need for adjustment or replacement.

Q6: Is the YXLQ-1812 suitable for continuous 24/7 production?

A: Absolutely. The machine is designed for industrial-grade continuous operation with minimal downtime for scheduled maintenance.
